Marble Queen Pothos Care
Marble Queen Pothos grows glossy, heart-shaped leaves marbled with green and cream. Bright, indirect light supports strong color, while good drainage and a little drying time between waterings keep the roots healthy.
- Light
Give it bright, indirect light to support its variegation. It can grow in some shade, but growth may slow and new leaves may have less color. Protect it from strong direct sun, which can scorch pale sections.
- Water
Let the top inch of potting mix dry before watering. Water thoroughly, then let the pot drain completely. Yellow leaves or blackened edges can mean the roots are staying wet.
- Soil
Use a loose, well-draining indoor potting mix. Add perlite or fine orchid bark if the mix holds water for too long, and use a pot with a drainage hole.
- Temperature
Keep it in a warm room, ideally between 65 and 86°F. Protect it from cold drafts, air-conditioning vents, and sudden temperature changes.
- Humidity
Average indoor humidity is usually enough. A little extra humidity can help new leaves open cleanly, but do not keep the soil constantly wet.
- Common issues
Fading variegation or leggy growth can mean the plant needs more light. Brown, crisp patches may follow harsh direct sun or very dry air. Yellow leaves and blackened margins often point to overwatering or poor drainage. Watch for mealybugs and scale.
